- Sunflower for rooftops concentrates sunlight x 1000.
I just came across this article about a new rooftop system that concentrates sunlight more than 1000 times. This ratio makes the system cheaper than PV systems we see today. Did I mention this is the first system that is certified safe for rooftops by Underwriters laboratories. More info here.
- Solar panel prices expected to fall.
A report from the Prometheus Institute states that the prices for silicon solar panels should drop from $3.66 per watt (2007) to $2.14 per watt (2010). Will this persuade more people to install solar panels? You can count on it.

- Village runs on 100% Solar Power
In 2004, the South Korean government helped install solar panels on top of houses in the city of Donggwang. Solar panels were attached to 40 houses and even the school runs on 100% solar technology.
